BE BLESSINGS CONSCIOUS

Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them, The LORD bless thee, and keep thee (Numbers 6:23-24). As Christians, we’ve been called to a life of blessings; we’re to walk in blessings, speak and manifest blessings every day and everywhere. Imagine walking into your home, office, classroom, or board meeting, speaking blessings! The Bible adjures us to render blessings, for that’s our calling (1 Peter 3:9). It’s like what the Lord said to Aaron and his sons, the priests. He commanded them to pronounce blessings on the children of Israel, even though the children of Israel were His own people. The Jews today are inarguably some of the most successful people in the world, because of their consciousness of the blessings of God. They teach their children, and their children’s children to speak blessings, and be conscious of blessings. The blessings upon the Jews are, however, not as glorious as the blessings upon the C...

DO ALL THINGS IN HIS NAME

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him (Colossians 3:17). In our opening text, the Apostle Paul was referring to the instrumentality of the Name of Jesus; using the Name of Jesus as an instrument, as a weapon, the way you’d use a knife or any weapon. Imagine what your life would be like if you lived every day, doing all things in the Name of Jesus! Imagine that all your projects were started in the Name of Jesus! Imagine coming into your office every day, declaring, “I come in the Name of Jesus!” It immediately takes away every form of limitation. What a life of success and glory that is! The Word is clear: you can do anything in the Name of Jesus as long as it brings the Father glory. If you’d live this way, there’d be no fear in your life; you wouldn’t go to bed at night wondering what might happen to you, because you’re living for Him—in His authority. Nothing compares to that; it’s the way to live...

YOU’RE FULL OF INFINITE POSSIBILITIES

Ecclesiastes 3:11 AMPC “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds….” There’s no limit to the extent, reach and capacity of the human spirit. God has set eternity in the hearts of men so they may have extraordinary amplitude of vision, contemplation and conception. Back in the Old Testament, the Lord said to Joshua: “Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses” (Joshua 1:3Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)). However, in the New Testament, you don’t need to “tread” on the land to possess it. From where you are, you can take possession from your spirit through your faith-filled words. All the blessings you require in life are inside you. The change you desire must start from within you. You must become a possessor from the inside first. Whatever you haven’t taken a hold of in the spirit will elude you in the physical. So today, what do you want? Is it a new phone or...

SPIRITUAL AWARENESS

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints Ephesians 1:17-18. The word, “know” in our opening text is the Greek “eido.” It means, “To become aware.” God wants you to become aware of the hope of His calling in your life, and the inheritance He’s made available to you in Him. 1 John 5:13 (NIV)Open in Logos Bible Software (if available) says, “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.” God wants you to know you have eternal life in your spirit now. When you’re aware of it, you’re going to live and act accordingly. It’s part of growth—learning about the things of God—knowing where you are, and who you are in Him. Eternal life is the life and nature of...

THE LIGHT OF GOD IN YOUR SPIRIT

The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly Proverbs 20:27 You can never know God except from your spirit; that’s where His light shines. His Word is His light (Psalm 119:105). Job 18:5-6 reveals something interesting. It says, “Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine. The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, AND HIS CANDLE SHALL BE PUT OUT WITH HIM” The wicked here refers to someone who’s non-conforming to the Word; it’s the description of a man or woman who’s rebellious against the Word of God—deliberately or indirectly. For such a person’s lamp to be put out means it was on before, which means he’s someone who had been given the light of God’s Word and he rejected it; he turned away from God. Some people are that way; they forget God; they’ve closed their hearts—their spirits—to His Word. I’m not talking about the heathen; the heathen doesn’t have light at all, and never had it. Nev...

DESIRE SPIRITUAL GROWTH

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ Ephesians 4:14-15 Some people have been Christians for many years, but they haven’t grown spiritually. Some aren’t even aware of the reality and necessity of spiritual growth. The Bible says, “Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby” 1 Peter 2:1-2. This is God’s desire for you; He wants you to grow in fellowship with Him and in the things of the Spirit. The latter part of our opening text says, “But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.” This is God’s purpose for you; He doesn’t want you tossed to and...

DOMINION OVER THIS PRESENT WORLD

Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father (Galatians 1:3-4). As new creations in Christ Jesus, we’re engaged in three different worlds at the same time. The first one is what our theme scripture calls “this present evil world.” Jesus Christ gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from “this present evil world.” It’s a world of evil, because it’s being dominated from another world. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 calls Satan the god of this world; this present evil world. The Greek word is “aion,” meaning this age, this present system. He became the god of this world as a result of Adam’s high treason against God in the Garden of Eden. Adam forfeited his authority over the earth to Satan, because he (Adam) disobeyed God. Sadly, the unregenerate man lives today, under Satan’s dominion and servitude in this world. Ephe...
